Davy De Winne is the coordinator of the User Experience Lab and a lecturer-researcher at Odisee University College (part of the KU Leuven Association). Specializing in Human-Centered Design for digital applications, he acts as the link between industry stakeholders, researchers, developers and end-users, translating scientific insights into intuitive, evidence-based digital solutions. Davy guides organizations through the complete user-centered design lifecycle, from gut-feeling concepts to validated outcomes, with a particular focus on user interviews and moderated user testing. Over the past two years, Davy has been deeply engaged with Human-Centered AI, examining how AI can be designed to genuinely support people. In this work, validation, user control and trust take center stage—ensuring that intelligent systems remain transparent, accountable and grounded in real user needs.
